Carousel Operator

For our clients off shore cable lay vessel we are recruiting an qualified Carousel Operator:

Carousel/Tensioner Operator
Responsible for operating and monitoring equipment that controls winding, unwinding, and tensioning of cables or fibers during offshore cable lay and pipelay operations. Ensures smooth handling, correct tension, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Tasks:

Operate carousel and tensioner systems for cable flow and tension.
Monitor spooling for alignment and material integrity.
Adjust settings for different materials and conditions.
Inspect for defects and perform routine maintenance.
Keep accurate records and collaborate with offshore teams.
Follow all safety protocols.

Requirements:

High school diploma; technical training preferred.
Experience with carousel/tensioner equipment in offshore or similar environments.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in English.

Certifications:

Offshore cable lay/pipelay experience.
BOSIET with CA-EBS, GWO, STCW.
Seafarer Medical (ENG1) and valid Seaman’s Book.
