Introducing our new Lowland colleagues
Lowland keeps expanding. That’s why you will see some new faces at our offices. We’re glad to introduce you to our three newest colleagues: Noor Boneschansker, Jekaterina Zaiceva & Diana Obukhova. They are all in some way involved in finding you the job that suits you at Lowland, so hereby they will introduce themselves:
“Before this job I worked at an employment agency for almost 5 years. I started there immediately after my studies and it was time for a new challenge. Outside of work, I live with my boyfriend and I try to play tennis at least 3 times a week. In addition to socializing at the weekend, I also enjoy traveling and seeing beautiful places in the world!
From October first I am working at Lowland in the Netherlands as (assistant) Crew Manager. In addition to crew management, I will also focus on recruitment issues. Not one day has been the same since my first day. This is also one of the reasons that I chose Lowland. The dynamics and bustle within the company make it a new challenge every day!”
“My name is Jekaterina, I am from Riga, Latvia. I am a 26 year old happy wife and mother of a son. I am working at the Lowland Baltic office in Latvia as assistant crew manager. My main function is to assist our crew managers in daily working routines. Some of my duties are: preparing documents for visa application, applying for flag endorsements and seamans book, booking flights and informing all involved parties, uploading certificates to company database, communicating via email and phone etc.
I really like working at Lowland because there’s a good working atmosphere and we have the best colleagues. And secondly – I graduated at the Latvian Maritime academy, study programme Ports and shipping management, so crewing is something that I was studying for. I am interested in the maritime field, so working at Lowland is interesting for me and makes me excited.
My favorite experience on the water was my first sea practice on passenger ferry Romantika. The route was Riga – Stockholm – Riga. My practice duration was 2 months, so I had a lot of time to enjoy the sea. On the ferry I was working as a waitress trainee, but I also had a chance to visit the engine room and bridge.”
“I’m a young lady with a Higher Education Diploma and I like to develop myself in different spheres of life, to get new experiences and knowledge. I’m the Assistant of a Crew Manager at the crew department at Lowland Ukraine. I was lucky to join Lowland because I like the people I work with and I like to work at an International Company where I get clear explanations and instructions and where I can grow. I have the ambition to learn from my colleagues every day. I also like that Lowland cooperates with different owners, types of the vessel, flags etc.
I decided to choose a profession connected to the sea because my brother is a seafarer and he told me a lot of interesting information about what it’s like to work at sea and seaman’s life in common. My previous short employments were also at the same industry.”
