Join World Cleanup Day for clean waters
Put Saturday September 21st in your agenda, because then it’s World Cleanup Day again! World Cleanup Day, already joined by almost 160 countries, is the biggest global clean-up of the year. We’ll tell you why we encourage you to join this day.
(Plastic) waste is high on the agenda all over the world, and rightly so. The production of plastic materials keeps growing and a substantial amount ends up in our waters, with all its consequences. But the good news is: together we can really make a difference to this so called Plastic Soup!
On World Cleanup Day volunteers and partners worldwide come together to rid our planet of trash – cleaning up waste from our beaches, rivers, forests and streets.A very successful concept, since last year’s edition united 18 million people worldwide for the biggest waste collection day in human history.
